I have recently been introduced to Impactos Positivos through its founder Gislele Abrahao and Estela Westphalen, an actively engaged member of its team. Last fall, Gislele kindly shared her vision and wisdom with the students in my Social Entrepreneurship class at Brown University; Estela, a long-time colleague, has been a TA in two semesters of this course. Impacto demonstrates many of the best practices of social entrepreneurship: a bold vision, a powerful theory of change, strategic partnerships, systems thinking and a deep appreciation of the importance of measuring and achieving impact. I am following Impactos Positivos with keen interest in the lessons it learns and the global transformation it will have.
